I love these two kids more than words could ever express and I miss them so much it hurts. (Of course I also love the wonderful people in some of the photos). I thank God daily for my grandchildren and blessing Adrienne and me with them.
These photos are from our family beach trip in February 2008. Doug, myself our six children and darling daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren were there. Our wonderful son-in-law, Ken that works so hard to take care of his family had to miss due to a work trip.

Grandchildren are the compensation we get for growing old, and it's a wonderful compensation indedd. The great thing is that you are free to love and enjoy your grandkids in a way you just couldn't with your children; you have the time and opportunity without having to fuss so much over the details of bathing and feeding and running a household.
They look adorable, and it's no wonder you love them so. It has to be an incredible heartbreak to have them so far away again, especially at a time when you have really needed some unconditional love and good fit of giggling.
There is nothing like dipping graham crackers in milk with your granddaughter.
These are awesome beach pictures. Thanks for sharing. It was fun seeing you all in CO.
